IMAC names Norton and O’Neill as Cayman Captive Forum keynotes

The Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC) names Chris Norton and Eric O’Neill as opening and closing keynote speakers for the Cayman Captive Forum 2026.

The forum runs from 1 to 3 December at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. Norton delivers the opening keynote and O’Neill the closing keynote.

Norton is a speaker, author and high-performance coach. At the age of 18 Norton sustained a severe spinal cord injury while playing college football and was given a 3 per cent chance of regaining movement below the neck. Norton went on to walk across the stage at his college graduation and later down the aisle at his wedding, moments IMAC says reached more than 400 million people worldwide. O’Neill is a cybersecurity specialist, former FBI counterintelligence operative, attorney and author. O’Neill is best known for an undercover role in the investigation that led to the arrest of Robert Hanssen, portrayed in the film Breach, and now works on emerging cyber threats, risks associated with artificial intelligence, and the practical steps organisations can take to protect information and reputation.

Michael Wild, chair of the Cayman Captive Forum committee, says: “We are delighted to welcome Chris and Eric as this year’s keynote speakers. Their experiences are very different, but both bring powerful perspectives on navigating risk, responding to challenges and adapting in an increasingly complex world.”

Wild adds: “We are hoping that their stories and insights will resonate well with the delegates at this year’s Forum.”

Registration remains open. IMAC describes the forum as the largest captive insurance conference in the world and expects more than 1,500 attendees across the three days.

IMAC represents the international insurance industry in the Cayman Islands, liaising with government and the regulator on behalf of the industry.
